Jose Guerra

Jose Guerra began his martial arts journey in 1986, training in Northern Shaolin Kung Fu at the young age of 12. During these early years he was introduced to Tai Chi and it peaked his interest. In 1990, after his parents relocating to another part of the city he enrolled in a Northern Praying Mantis school and spent four years training and eventually becoming an assistant instructor.

After graduating high school in 1994 he joining the US Army, he continued training in hand-to-hand combat until 1998. Later, in the year 2000, he enrolled in a local community college and began learning Tai Chi under his instructor Miss Yang. For the next couple of years he learned the 24 forms and 32 swords forms from her. When he moved to London in 2007 he continued his training in various forms of Tai Chi.
